At a time when the family of Paruchuri Swathi is in a state of mourning over her death in the Chennai Bomb blasts, it is quite disgusting to see the likes of Chandrababu Naidu make use of her death to score brownie points over their political rivals.
At a public meeting in Andhra, Chandrababu expressed his condolences to the family of Swathi. That is good, as he was echoing the public sentiment of the Andhra people.
But he did not stop there and said that it was because there was no development or employment opportunities in the State that Swathi had to go to another city for a career.
Had there been adequate employment opportunities in the State, Swathi would not have had to go to Bangalore and thereby become the victim of a terror attack in Chennai!
Indirectly, Naidu was asking to be voted to power so that he can create employment opportunities in the State and that the ruling dispensation was somehow indirectly responsible for Swathi’s death in Chennai.
What kind of perverted logic is this? Attributing the death of the poor girl to lack of development in the State is the most heinous and base form of politics.
The aim of terrorist organizations is to create anarchy and destabilize the system. They strike at random and normally choose the nerve centers of public life for their loathsome activities.
That Swathi happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time was a cruel hand dealt by fate! Her passing away has plunged the Telugu people in gloom.
Please stop to consider for a second, Chandrababu Naidu, on what her family must be going through! The last thing they need at this hour is for someone to gain political mileage from her death.
