It is reported that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has reconsidered appointing the TTD Chairman, who was initially expected to be the head of a TV channel.
According to reliable sources, the media chief was initially in line for the position, but the appointment was later canceled.
Political leaders and bureaucrats close to the AP CMO have revealed that the Chief Minister is hesitant to give the post of TTD Chairman to the media head.
Recently, Chandrababu Naidu called the media chief for a discussion and asked him to return in two days. It was expected that the appointment as TTD Chairman would follow soon after.
However, two days later, just as the media chief was preparing to meet Chandrababu again, he received a message from the CMO, stating that the Chief Minister was not available to meet him at that moment and would be in touch if there was any further information.
Insiders suggest that something shifted after the media chief's initial conversation with Chandrababu.
Reports indicate there was strong opposition from unseen forces against the media chief’s appointment. As a result, Chandrababu is reportedly reconsidering the decision to appoint the media personality as TTD Chairman.
The TV channel head suspected that he might not receive the position, realizing that Chandrababu had reservations.
If the TTD Chairman post is given to someone else, it is likely that the media chief will turn against the coalition government from that point on.
Additionally, sources indicate that former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, NV Ramana, was approached for the position, but it appears he declined the offer.
