Telangana Rashtra Samithi will not get more than 10 assembly seats in the next elections, if it does not merge with the Congress and contests independently.
This was the view expressed by Congress MLA from Sangareddy T Jayaprakash Reddy. On Friday, he lashed out at TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao for failing to keep his promise of merging his party with the Congress. He predicted that the TRS will not get more than 10 seats if it contests the general elections alone.
Jagga Reddy said he will take up a bike rally to Gun Park from Sanga Reddy on March 10 to extend thanks to AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi for giving statehood to Telangana.
He said that about 1 lakh people will converge into a big public meeting to be held in Medak district at a later date. He dared KCR to contest and win against him from Sanga Reddy. I will sure win my seat and KCR has to bite the dust, Reddy observed.
Jagga Reddy accused KCR of deliberate attempts to cause inconvenience to the Congress by trying to avoid merger. If he fails on the merger promise, the people will teach KCR a lesson, he warned.
However he maintained that the Congress will fight general elections on its own and win adequate number of seats to form the government.
