Accusing the previous Congress regime of looting public money in housing scheme and irrigation projects, Commercial Taxes Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Thursday said that Telangana Government would expose their misdeeds in the coming monsoon session of the State Assembly and take serious action against those involved.
Addressing a media conference at Secretariat on Thursday, after paying a visit to the Osmania General Hospital which turned into a controversy over its shifting, the minister said that he is hurt at the comments of ‘Tuglaq’ and ‘Taliban’ made by former Minister Shabbir Ali against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
Since inception, the TRS Government is vouching for people’s welfare and all the schemes would speak volumes, he said.
The minister warned of taking serious action against the Congress leaders who involved in corrupt practices in Irrigation projects through re-design and expose the housing scam of looting money. In the coming Assembly session, irregularities will be exposed, he said.
He said the shifting of OGH is imminent in spite of any objection by the opposition parties as JNTU Architects made it clear that the old building spread on 2.5 acres is on the verge of collapse and repairs will not help, he remarked.
Asked about the growing contention from a cross of section of people, alumni of the OGH and political parties, he asserted that "we need to protect the lives of the patients and doctors who are in utter fear that anything might happen anytime".
