Telangana Rashtra Samithi leadership is allegedly offering various packages to rival party candidates for clinching Chairman posts of Zilla Parishads and Mandal Parishads, where no party could get absolute majority mark.
Former Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy the Congress party would issue a whip against the leaders joining the ruling party.
“So far, the TRS is understood to have held discussions with three Congress leaders in Warangal district and trying to attract another three out of seven. This is not fair on the part of the TRS to indulge in attracting the leaders of the Congress. Defeat is temporary and we will respect the people’s verdict in the general elections,” Gandra said.
He opined that the leaders without self-confidence were only changing the parties, which is unfortunate.
He refused to comment on the question whether there was leadership lapse in Telangana that pressed them to change the parties.
Expressing discontent over five Congress MLCs joining the TRS and comments that Gandhi Bhavan is a hell, Gandra warned that the party would take necessary action.
