It has been quite a while since the drama has been on about the merger of TRS party with Congress. This was to happen after the Telangana announcement was made. But the latest update is that TRS is not going to merge with Congress party at any cost.
Apparently, TRS chief KCR has worked out on all permutations of advantages for the party if it merges and after going through lot of calculations he has decided not to merge. At the same time, even some of the congress leaders are reportedly stating that TRS will never merge.
Buzz is that a cadre level study was done by Congress to figure out what are their gains and losses if they get TRS under their fold.
After forming their analysis, the congress began appointing district heads of Telangana region quickly which is a strong indication that they are contesting 2014 elections single handedly.
However, this is politics and things change within hours. So, unless an official announcement is made nothing can be taken for confirmed and the suspense will continue like a RGV film.
