The Bharatiya Janata Party, which is looking for consolidating its base in Telangana, appears to be eyeing the leaders of even Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which is strongly positioned in the new State.
According to reliable sources, the BJP leadership has already trapped a TRS MP, who earlier had been a member of the saffron party.
Though this particular MP would not join the BJP immediately, he has already been moving closely with the BJP leaders in Delhi and has been preventing the other MPs from attacking Narendra Modi and other top leaders.
Interestingly, the saffron party is also luring a Telugu Desam Party MP from Telangana as well.
The MP, who is a famous educationist, is learnt to have realized that his business interests would be served if joined the BJP, rather than continuing in the TDP.
Though there are pressures on him to join the TRS as well, he is learnt to have preferred the BJP, say sources.
Now, it is anybody’s guess as to whose these MPs are.
