TRS MLA, Ex-MP Clash At Party Meet!

TRS MLA from Achampet constituency in Mahabubnagar district Guvvala Balaraju and former MP, Manda Jagannadham virtually came to blows at the party meeting held in a club house on the Hyderabad city outskirts.

Mahabubnagar TRS leaders convened a meeting at Attapur club house to devise party strategy to win ensuing MLC elections.

Ministers Jupally Krishna Rao, C.Laxma Reddy, planning commission vice chairman Niranjan Reddy and other leaders were present in the meeting.

While the meeting was going on, MLA Guvvala Balaraju was leaving midway saying that endowments minister A.Indrakaran Reddy was visiting his constituency and he had to go there.

While he was leaving, Manda intervened and asked him why he was not informed about minister's visit to Achampet, which falls under his Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha constituency.

This irked Balaraju, who replied that if he is willing to come, he was ready to take him along.

This made Manda more furious who said, "I am not a beggar to come with you if you ask me to come along with you. I worked for 10 years as MP and senior most leader in TRS. Is this the respect you give to a senior leader like me?"

Balaraju lost his cool and abused Manda in a filthy language. He said, "I don't need to tell you anything. What is your stature in front of me? Do what you want to do? I will be like this only."

Manda too used unparliamentary language in a fit of anger and termed Balaraju as a "Bacha" (child) in politics in front of him.

Both came to near blows when other party leaders intervened and controlled the situation.

Balaraju, is a young MLA, who attracted headlines by slapping Congress MLA Chittem Rammohan Reddy in Mahabubnagar few months ago. He also slapped a physically handicapped person when he questioned him about not getting pension.

Manda got elected as MP twice in 2004 and 2009 from Congress but joined TRS in 2013 ahead of 2014 general elections.
