TRS Minister, MP Fire In Air To Celebrate Dasara!

Telangana law, endowments and housing minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy and TRS Mahabubnagar MP A Jithender Reddy landed in a soup with their over-enthusiasm during Dasara celebrations.

The two senior leaders of TRS fired few rounds in the air from their guns as part of “Ayudha puja”, much to the shock of neighbours.

They whipped out the firearm and waved it in the air, depressed the trigger, letting off few rounds in the air.

Though both are licenced weapon holders, it should be used only for their safety as per the norms. Both the leaders have blatantly violated the norms of Indian Arms Act.

Under the provisions of Section 5 of the Indian Arms Act and also under other relevant sections of law, police can book cases against them for endangering human life and disturbing peace.

However, police are yet to act as both are known to be very close to Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao.

Earlier, in June 2012, Habeeb Abdul Rahman, former MLC and convenor of the Minority Cell of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), was arrested by the Jubilee Hills police when he fired five rounds from his .32 revolver while celebrating the party’s grand victory in Assembly by-polls held then.

Indrakaran Reddy, along with son Gautham Reddy and his grandchildren, fired in the air from the lawns of his house in Nirmal in Adilabad district. The firing sound created panic among neighbours surrounding his house.

Similarly, Jithender Reddy along with his family members and gunman fired in the air from their revolver and gun at his residence in Jubilee Hills.

Neighbours in this posh area were shocked to find a responsible MP from the ruling TRS blatantly violating the norms in full public view and resorted to ugly display of Aydha puja.

As per norms, the police department can cancel the arm licence of both these leaders but can they dare to do that considering their political clout.

Unless KCR asks police to book cases and cancel arm licence, there is little one can expect on this issue.
