The issue of ‘options’ for the Seemandhra employees can well ignite the spark for a fresh round of conflict between the Seemandhra people and the Telanganites or aborigines.
KR has already made it clear that the TRS is no mood to accommodate the Seemandhra employees and will not provide them with options whereas Ponnala Laxmiah has promised to look into the issue.
Providing options to the Seemandhra employees will result in a majority of them opting to stay back in Hyderabad as most of them have made Hyderabad their home.
The Telangana employees are now making a beeline to the houses of both these leaders urging them not to give options to the Seemandhra people.
One Telangana employee says, “If they are provided with options, they will stay back in Hyderabad. Our fight for a separate state would be of no avail then.”
But for Seemandhra employees who have settled in Hyderabad, purchased or built houses here and whose children go to schools and colleges in Hyderabad, it could be a pretty precarious situation as they might have to start their life afresh and all their hard work over the years would be wasted.
But who can drive sense into the rag picker KCR or the people of Telangana who thanks to their politics of hatred appear to the Seemandhra people as worse than Pakistanis?
