At present, three mafias are ruling the State -- liquor mafia, transport mafia and fish mafia, according to CPI State Secretary Dr K Narayana.
He told media on Thursday that the three mafias were dictating the administration in the State, at the cost of the people. He demanded that the feudal parties should change their attitude on formation of separate Telangana State. He opined that the people of the State would act in favor of Left parties in the 2014 elections.
CPI national leader A B Bardhan said that though the Communist parties might have split, they were working for common goal of socialism. He exuded confidence that the Left parties and secular forces would come onto a single platform in the coming elections. He pointed out that the country was facing a deep crisis during the regime of the Congress-led UPA.
