The Supreme Opportunist

The Supreme Opportunist

When you have a constitutional procedure for anything and everything what is Kejriwal’s objective in taking to the streets, especially in his capacity as the Chief Minister of Delhi is a moot point.

The 36 hour dharna to protest inaction on the part of the Delhi Police and demanding that the Delhi Police be brought under the jurisdiction of the Delhi government instead of the Home Ministry has only turned out to be a fiasco.

If you have a problem with administrative issues, then you either need to approach the judiciary or get the required support to have the law amended either in the state assembly or Parliament.

Knowing fully well that he could not score on either counts, Kejriwal, the supreme political opportunist that he is resorted to taking to the streets, a drama that he is very good at.

But this has seriously clouded public perception negatively towards him.

As the Chief Minister of Delhi, Kejriwal is expected to uphold law and order and not himself become a nuisance just to score a few brownie points.

Some political analysts aver that Kejriwal was hoping that the Congress would withdraw support to him on the issue and he could go the polls again seeking a fresh mandate so as to emerge with a complete majority.

Ironically, after the dharna, the support for Kejriwal has only dwindled further.

He contested the elections criticizing the Congress Part for its corruption and then he takes the support of that very party to become the Chief Minister.

Need one say more?
