In an interview given to his good friend, Vemuri Radhakrishna, Chandrababu speaking on his relationship with YSR said, “There was no personal enmity between YSR and me. We differed only professionally. Whenever I criticized YSR in the Assembly, it was issue-based. However, YSR did not extend the same courtesy to me and often attacked me personally. I used to feel very bad about this.”
Today, Chandrababu is guilty of the same error if what he said in the interview was true. Look at his language in responding to YS Jagan in the Assembly.
Going hammer and tongs at Jagan, he said: “This is not Idupulapaya or Lotus Pond. This House is not your home. We won't allow `rowdyism' in the assembly. When your father could not succeed in `rowdyism', how do you think you can?”
Recalling Jagan's assertion that the YSR Congress would create ugly scenes in the House if he were not allowed to speak, Naidu said the House was already witnessing such scenes.
“You are all shameless people. You are not human beings. You are mentally ill. I won't spare you,“ he said and gesticulated to them to resume their seats and listen to his words.
Charging that Jagan did not want Rayalaseema to prosper, he said, “For you, Rayalaseema should remain a drought area, because only then would your faction politics flourish. You want the poor to remain enslaved to you. This is your line of thinking.”
