Hyderabad: The Rayalaseema Rajadhani Sadhana Samithi (RRSS) has opined that the ruling TDP was not correct in announcing Vijayawada as the temporary capital.
Speaking to the media on Thursday in Hyderabad, they alleged that Chandra Babu Naidu and his government announced a temporary capital only to aid the big businessmen within TDP.
The Samithi members also demanded that Andhra Pradesh capital must be developed in Rayalaseema. They warned the ruling TDP government that if their demand is not met, it would give rise to another people’s agitation, this time from Rayalaseema.
They also demanded that the government must implement the Sribagh Pact of 1937 in total.
The Samithi members also questioned as to how the government which said that it did not have money for loan waivers, manage to splurge Rs 40,000 crore for land acquisition in Vijayawada.
They also revealed that RRSS would meet at Dharna Chowk on August 16 and burn an effigy of AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu.
