In November, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu made sure that he got his way by getting Rajya Sabha Y Sujana Choudhary getting inducted into Prime Minister Modi’s cabinet.
So, looks like it is pay back time for the Telugu Desam Party.
A little while ago, we carried a story which said that Amit Shah and Modi were keen on having their nominees on the cash-flush Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board.
Talk is that while one candidate will be from Modi’s home state Gujarat, the other two will be from Uttar Pradesh and Chattisgarh.
Usually, Naidu would have put his foot down as the trusteeship is a big deal given that it is no less than sitting on a giant heap of gold.
But following bifurcation, Chandra Babu wants to be in the good books of the Centre and get funds from them. Hence, he is expected to appoint the three BJP nominees as early as January 2015, it is being said in political circles.
