If Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao has his way, the proposed “Chitrapuri” a film city proposed for Telangana State Film Industry, will even beat Hollywood in the United States.
KCR told a delegation of film producers, directors and other actors who called on him the Film City coming up in 2000 acres on the city outskirts, would be built on par with Hollywood and it could be even better than the US film city.
He said the film industry in the new state of Telangana will not just confine to making films, besides encouraging in a big way including that of short films on peoples’ problems, TV serials, programs, graphics, animation and other allied activities, KCR stated.
The CM also maintained that he will call a meeting of noted film personalities from South and Mumbai soon and take suggestions to decide on finalizing the place for construction of Film City.
