It looks like the Telangana Bharatiya Janata Party unit has given up its fight against Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the state and dropped its plans to grow into an alternative political force.
This is apparently the result of the new-found-friendship between Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While KCR is going on praising Modi and moving closely with Union ministers like M Venkaiah Naidu, Suresh Prabhu, Bandaru Dattatreya and Uma Bharati, the local BJP leaders are in a state of confusion as to how to go about with their political strategies.
During the ongoing assembly session, the BJP legislators have been forced to remain silent because of the pro-centre stand taken by KCR.
According to the latest reports, the Telangana BJP leaders have decided to focus on spreading Modi’s message on demonetisation and digital currency, rather than programmes attacking KCR.
At the most, they would highlight the assistance being given by the Modi government to Telangana and how the TRS is getting benefitted from it. The party has appointed district-level and constituency-level in-charges to take up the party campaign on digital currency.
So, yet another victory for the TRS!
