It is now emerging that the Telangana bill will be introduced in the parliament anytime between December 10 and 13.
The Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill, 2013 will be placed before the Lok Sabha and a brief debate will follow after that. It is said that the UPA government is not very keen on allowing a longer debate on the issue in view of its contentious nature. The winter session of the Parliament will commence on December 5.
About three to four hours might be allowed on the bill to be piloted by the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. The ruling party is keen that the debate does not go out of hands.
There is virtually a race against time to ensure that the Telangana state comes into existence in the New Year.
