There are no fire works; there are no walk-outs nor are there any attempts to storm Speaker’s podiums.This is the scenario in the ongoing budget session of the Telangana Assembly and it has become very boring both for the MLAs as well as media persons covering the Assembly proceedings.
With the Telugu Desam Party MLAs being suspended for the rest of the session and the Congress MLAs remaining very passive, there is no drama or action in the House.
Except for an occasional argument between the TRS and the Congress MLAs, the session is going on very smoothly.
As a result, most of the MLAs are loitering in the lobbies and spending most of their time either watching world cup cricket matches in the ministers’ chambers or chit-chatting with media in the canteen.
And some of the MLAs are taking time to go to the adjacent Andhra Pradesh Assembly hall to see the tamasha there!
