More than anybody else, the Telangana Telugu Desam Party leaders seem to be very eager for merger of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi with the Congress party.
Senior TDP leader Mothkupalli Narsimhulu said the formation of Telangana State was getting delayed as the TRS did not merge with Congress.
“TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao should talk to AICC president Sonia Gandhi and merge his party with Congress. Till the merger of TRS, Congress will be wasting the precious time. The people of Telangana are suffering because of you both,” Narsimhulu said, and appealed to KCR to merge his party with Congress for birth of Telangana State.
Asked why he wants to convey the message through the media instead of meeting KCR personally, Narsimhulu quipped he was ready to meet him and asked journalists to find out date and forum.
He said bifurcation of the State cannot stop even if Seemandhra MLAs tried to abort it. He alleged that the government has been trying to waste the time somehow.
“You people (Congress MLAs) are opposing the decision of your own party and now when the Bill was tabled in the House, you are enacting dramas.
