TDP Telangana MLAs ready to jump?

With the Telugu Desam Party chief N Chandrababu Naidu shifting his stand once again on bifurcation issue and taking a pro-integrated state stand, the party's Telangana leaders are a disappointed lot these days.

As many as seven Telangana TDP legislators are said to be contemplating quitting the party and joining the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) ahead of the general elections.

The TDP Telangana leaders fear that their political future might be sealed permanently if they continue in the party which is again shifting its stand towards united Andhra Pradesh cause.

In fact, Naidu has threatened to stall the draft Telangana bill in the Assembly and flew into rage on the day the copies of the bill had reached the state Assembly.

It is clear from Naidu's body language and his public outbursts that he is bent upon putting spokes in the Telangana wheel and joining hands with those who want to keep the state united.

The party MLAs from Adilabad, Nizamabad and Warangal are said to be planning to leave the TDP once Naidu's stand becomes clear in the Assembly during the debate on the AP Reorganisation Bill, 2013.

The list also includes senior leader Eraballi Dayakar Rao who is peeved over the party leadership's stand on the Telangana issue at a crucial time when the the process of  formation of the state has reached a decisive stage.
