Even after 48 hours of polling in Seemandhra region, the Telugu Desam Party continued to grumble against the YSR Congress party, accusing the latter of terrorizing its political rivals.
TDP Rajya Sabha member C M Ramesh on Friday lodged a complaint with the Election Commission of India against the alleged attacks by YSRCP activists in some areas on the polling day on May 7 in Seemandhra.
He called on Chief Election Commissioner Sampath and submitted a representation detailing about the irregularities committed by YSRCP leaders and workers. He complained to the CEC that YSRCP leaders ran amok like street rowdies.
The TDP MP also reportedly submitted video clipping of rigging scenes and demanded re-polling in some polling booths in Kadapa, Jammalmadugu and some other areas in Rayalasema region.
He alleged that YSRCP leaders and workers tried to scare voters by resorting to attacks on TDP activists and police personnel in Jammalamadugu and Mydukuru Assembly constituencies.
