Following the brouhaha in the Lok Sabha yesterday morning, BJP leader Rajnath Singh was all over the television channels reiterating that his party was for a separate Telangana state and will support the Bill when it is introduced in the Parliament.
It is being said that his statement angered TDP head Chandra Babu Naidu.
Babu was under the impression that he lobbied enough with top BJP leaders to influence their opinion on the contentious issue.
However, Rajnath’s statement has come as a blow to him.
There is one section that believes that the TDP is merely making strategic statements to play safe.
A clear situation is likely to emerge within the next 10 days and we will get to know if the TDP is indeed rethinking about an alliance with BJP.
