Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday opened doors for power star Pawan Kalyan along with his brother Nagababu into the party.
Reacting to certain media reports that Pawan Kalyan and Naga Babu had recently met senior actor and TDP leader Nandamuri Balakrishna and expressed willingness to join the party, TDP senior leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said his party would warmly welcome both the mega brothers.
Ramakrishnudu however said there was no information so far on the reported parleys between Pawan Kalyan and Balakrishna.
“Some Congress leaders of the Seemandhra region are ready to join our party. And TDP is the only forum through which we can fight for the cause of Telugu people,” he said.
There were rumors in political circles that actor Pawan Kalyan is contemplating joining the TDP ever since merger of Praja Rajyam party floated by his brother mega star Chiranjeevi with the Congress and the latter became a Union minister later.
Pawan Kalyan is also reportedly thinking to bring his brother Nagababu also in the electoral political and get a seat for Machilipatnam parliamentary constituency.
