Strange are the ways of the Telugu Desam Party on the State bifurcation issue.
The party is in a state of utter confusion as to how to go about in the Assembly on participating in the debate on the Telangana bill.
While Seemandhra TDP leaders want the Telangana bill to be sent back to the Centre on the pretext that it is not comprehensive, the Telangana TDP leaders have been demanding that the discussion on the bill should be taken up immediately.
However, on Tuesday, the Telangana TDP leaders came out with a different argument, saying that there was no need for any debate on the bill at all.
TDP Telangana Forum convener Errabelli Dayakar Rao alleged that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was hatching a conspiracy on pretext of conducting discussion on Telangana bill.
“Therefore, under the present circumstances, it would be better not to have a debate on the bill at all,” he said.
The TDP leader argued that the Chief Minister feels that the debate would be in favour of Samaikhyandhra if a discussion took place on the bill clause wise.
He said the TDP made it clear on the issue of Telangana and submitted a letter in its favour. TDP’s Seemandhra leaders have been airing their personal views on the issue, he added.
