TDP MLA Collecting Rs 10 Per Kg of Chicken!

TDP MLA Collecting Rs 10 Per Kg of Chicken!

There are political leaders who believe that even extortion should have its own scale. From village leaders to higher ranks, corruption exists at different levels, which is an undeniable fact.

Some MLAs and ministers deliberately turn a blind eye to such activities, allowing their followers to benefit financially. Occasionally, even pro-government media reports on the corrupt practices of ruling party leaders.

Recently, Kandukur MLA Inturi Nageswara Rao was openly accused of indulging in corruption related to the Ramayapatnam Port construction project. However, party members argue that many such instances go unreported, and Nageswara Rao is just one among many.

In Nandyal district, a female public representative is reportedly collecting ₹10 per kg of chicken from every chicken center in her constituency.

It appears she doesn’t want to miss out on even the smallest sources of income. People say that no MLA has ever resorted to such petty extortion before.

This incident has sparked widespread criticism, with many questioning—if an MLA can collect ₹10 per kg of chicken, what else would they do if given a larger opportunity?

Moreover, during recent festivals in her constituency, she allegedly collected ₹1,000 from every shop owner. These actions are not secretive; they are happening openly.

Some public representatives defend such practices, arguing that they need to recover the investments made during elections.

Instead of focusing on governance and winning people's trust, they justify their extortion as a necessity. Given this mindset, why would an MLA let go of revenue opportunities like Ramayapatnam Port?

Across constituencies, corruption among ruling party representatives has become common, though it has taken different forms. This is the only difference.
