During the Yuvagalam Padayatra, TDP leader Nara Lokesh revealed he was maintaining a "red book," listing names of party leaders, activists, police officers, department officials, and YSRCP leaders.
Lokesh assured he would hold them accountable after coming to power and even disclosed how many chapters had been added so far.
However, internal discussions within TDP suggest Lokesh has also included names of senior party leaders, such as Rajahmundry Rural MLA Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdhury, former minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, and Atchannaidu.
While Atchannaidu holds a ministerial post, party insiders feel he has little significance.
Similarly, Butchaiah Chowdhury has faced neglect, reportedly due to an old grudge Chandrababu Naidu holds against him for comments made during NTR’s ouster. Despite giving ministerial roles to MLAs defected from YSRCP, Butchaiah was sidelined.
Lokesh also remembers criticisms leveled against him and Chandrababu after TDP's 2019 defeat.
Leaders like Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Pattabhi allegedly speak negatively about him, and so Lokesh is refusing appointments to them, as per insiders.
Sarcastically, some TDP leaders claim they are in Lokesh’s "red book" and so not getting prominent positions.
Lokesh is determined to build his own loyal team, prioritizing trust and loyalty over seniority.
