Despite losing face with their double talk on the Telangana issue, the Telugu Desam Party leaders continue their tirade against Telangana Rashtra Samithi hoping to get some mileage in the Telangna region.
On Monday, senior TDP leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao today alleged that the TRS had become a puppet in the drama being enacted by AICC president Sonia Gandhi on the issue of Telangana.
He warned the TRS to stop provoking the people and reminded that his party chief N Chandrababu Naidu sent a letter to the Centre in 2008 in favour of Telangana and also had demanded that the Centre convene an all-party meeting on the issue.
Errabelli said there was imperative need to protect Telangana State being carved out by the Union government.
He appealed to the Seemandhra people to cooperate in the formation of Telangana State. If there were any problems, they could be sorted out across the table amicably, he added.
“It was not proper on the part of the TRS to level charge against the TDP as it had already given its consent on Telangana State”, he reminded.
Errabelli reiterated that Chandrababu Naidu was not against separate Telangana State.
He sat on indefinite hunger strike in New Delhi only to seek justice to Seemandhra people.
