Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has a wishful thinking: that he will be able to bring his party to power in Telangana, too, in 2019.
Naidu told this to party functionaries from Telangana at an extended executive committee meeting of the party at NTR Trust Bhavan on Saturday.
He said the people of Telangana had acknowledged the contribution of the TDP to the development of Hyderabad as a hitech city. If the Telangana has a surplus budget now, the credit should go only to the TDP, he said.
The party is getting tremendous response from the people in its membership drive and so far 29 lakh people have enrolled their names as party members since November 3 in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, he said.
