JC Diwaker Reddy who has been unhappy with the Congress for many days now is bound to leave the Congress very soon and join another party, say those in the political circles.
However, there is no clarity as where JC is headed. Though initially there were rumours that he will be joining TDP, then it was said that he was considering YSRCP too.
After JC Diwaker Reddy made some positive comments about Jagan, it was felt that he would join YSRCP along with his family members.
Meanwhile, in Tadipatri, JC’s opponent Peram Nagireddy and his family had quit TDP and joined YSRCP. Peram’s daughter-in-law was promised the Tadipatri MLA seat. So, now TDP has remained the last option for JC.
However, his family has still not joined TDP. Though JC had said point blank that Congress did not have a future and working in Congress meant killing one’s future, he is still with the Congress for now. The reason for this is said to be TDP’s high command.
“We have no problem in including your family in our party. But it is going to cost you money,” the TDP is said to have told JC. And it is said that the amount quoted was Rs 50 crore.
It is being said that JC family is considering the offer. They are said to be contemplating if it is necessary to spend that kind of money to join TDP and get a ticket.
In fact, if they have to spend so much for three MLA constituencies, then they are wondering as to how much it would cost if JC were to contest for the Lok Sabha. And then, there is no guarantee that JC would win!
So, right now, JC camp is unable to come to a decision and is caught up in a dilemma. Apparently, the TDP too is not keen on going back on its demand and wants to get as much as they can from JC and family.
The JC family too is planning to remain silent for now and is confident that TDP will step back and approach them at a later date.
Let’s wait and watch how things will transpire in the days to come.
