After keeping mum on 'settlers issues' in Hyderabad during the GHMC election public meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday, AP CM and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu broke his silence on this issue at Vijayawada on Thursday.
Addressing the party leaders and activists of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana through teleconference from Vijayawada on Thursday, Naidu stated that TDP-BJP combine's win in GHMC elections is an 'historic necessity' and to protect the rights of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad.
Naidu said Hyderabad is what it is today was because of the development done by TDP government between 1995 and 2004.
"TDP has put Hyderabad on global map. It has made Hyderabad an IT Hub of India. We have created Cyberabad and Hitech city and provided lakhs of IT jobs to engineering students. We have transformed Hyderabad into a global city with international airport, outer ring road, flyovers, ISB, IIIT, International stadiums, International hotels and convention centres. Only TDP has every right to seek votes from Hyderabadis for the development it has done in ten years," Naidu remarked.
He asked Telangana party leaders and cadre to take this issue to each and every doorstep in GHMC limits and seek votes.
"If TDP-BJP combine wins GHMC polls, Hyderabad would enter into the next level of development. We will secure maximum funds from the Centre for Hydereabad, with BJP in power at the Centre. The TDP-BJP combine will repeat the magic of developing Hyderabad that was done when TDP-BJP were in power in late 1990s and early 2000s," Naidu said.
Naidu also said only TDP-BJP can protect the rights of Seemandhra people living in Hyderabad and they should ensure the victory of TDP-BJP combine in GHMC polls to protect their rights.
