The pre-poll alliance between TDP and BJP for GHMC elections has sparked off dissidence in both the parties.
As part of alliance, it was decided that TDP should contest 90 seats and BJP 60 seats for total 150 GHMC seats.
However, ticket aspirants from both the parties who lost chance to contest due to poll alliance stormed TDP and BJP headquarters in city raising slogans against respective party leadership and demanding to scrap the tie-up.
Tension prevailed at TDP Rajya Sabha member Sujana Chowdhary's residence in city as TDP ticket aspirants who lost seats to BJP took up a massive protest against poll alliance.
TDP ticket asprirants from Malkajgiri, Ameerpet, Khairatabad division were angry for allotting these divisions to BJP.
They raised objection over allotting these divisions to BJP, which are known to be the strongholds of TDP.
Though the TDP-BJP are yet to officially announce the divisions and candidates for their seats, dissidence is brewing in with media leaks over allotment of divisions to a particular party.
The situation is expected to worsen further by tomorrow when all the parties need to announce their list of candidates with Sunday being the last day to file nominations.
None of the parties announced their complete list of candidates so far. TRS had announced 80 candidates, MIM 40 candidates and Congress 45 candidates though one day is left for nominations fearing resentment from those who failed to get tickets.
All the parties are facing dissidence as disgruntled candidates are making arrangements to contest as rebel candidates in case respective parties fail to allot them tickets.
