It appears that the two-eyed strategy followed by Chandrababu Naidu has not only resulted in separate Telangana state but also seems to be leading to the downfall of his party in the same region.
Latest reports reveal key leaders of TDP in Telangana are preparing to quit the party. Some have already joined the TRS.
The latest in that club happens to be Gedam Nagesh, MLA of Boath in Adilabad district. Buzz is that he would join TRS soon.
Nagesh’s father Ramarao was a staunch TDP devotee and during the time of NTR he also worked as the Girijan Welfare minister. Later, the same post was handled by Nagesh.
But now with Nagesh resigning from TDP many of his followers and key leaders in that area have also resigned.
This is a big blow to TDP because even during the reign of YSR, the TDP had its presence in Adilabad and they won in many places. But now they are not showing interest to stick with the party.
Reports also reveal that Arigela Nageswara Rao who gave a big victory to TDP is contemplating on offering his resignation.
Looking at the way things are going on, it will be interesting to see who will actually remain in TDP by the time the election notification comes.
