Is popular Tamil hero Vishal planning to campaign for YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and his party in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections in 2019?
The answer seems to be yes, if one were to go by Vishal’s talk to a popular Telugu television news channel on Monday.
Vishal, a Telugu native settled in Chennai, has been evincing very keen interest in entering politics.
In the recent by-elections to R K Nagar assembly seat in Chennai, Vishal threw his hat into the ring, but his nomination papers were rejected on technical grounds.
He is now focussing on 2019 Lok Sabha elections and 2021 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
However, Vishal told the Telugu news channel that he is keenly watching the 2019 assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh as well.
Without even being asked, he told the channel that he very much liked YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
“It does not mean I have disrespect towards Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu. But, somehow, I started liking Jagan because I was impressed by his way of approach towards politics.
I frame an opinion on any leader only after observing his style of functioning, whether it is Jagan or Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth,” he said.
Asked whether he would campaign for Jagan in the next elections, Vishal did not give a straight answer.
“Let me see, what I can do,” he said.
