T-TDP leaders to stay back, for now!

In a big relief to Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minster N Chandrababu Naidu, at least for the time being, his party legislators from Telangana seemed to have assured him that none of them was planning to leave the party and join TRS.

Naidu held a meeting with the Telangana TDP legislators at his chambers in the Secretariat on Monday. Prominent TDP legislators like Erraballi Dayakar Rao, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Ramana and others attended the meeting and thus tried to put an end to speculations that they were waiting in the wings to join the pink party.

It might be mentioned here that legislators like Dayakar Rao and Srinivas Yadav have in the recent past called on the TRS president triggering speculations that they would soon abandon the “cycle” to ride the “car”.

Though Chandrababu Naidu embarked on a damage control exercise to keep his flock in Telangana together even as KCR diligently played his cards to woo the TDP legislators, speculations continued to float about some of the prominent TDP legislators numbering over six waiting for an opportunity to join the TRS. Thus with the presence of some of these “fence-sitters” at today’s meeting attained significance.

Ramana firmly asserted that there was no truth in the media speculation that some of them were planning to join the TRS.

“None of us will join TRS as we are loyal soldiers of TDP and continue in the party till the end”.
