
Telangana TDP leaders and activists here on Friday took to streets and organized a road blockade in different parts of Telangana in protest against suspension of 10 party legislators from the Assembly on Thursday.
At Jangaon, the protests were led by T-TDP floor leader in the Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao, who alleged that the ruling TRS had resorted to their suspension from the House for a week as they had cornered the government over suicides of farmers, old-age pensions and issue of ration cards.
He also said they were organizing State-wide protests to expose the dictatorial policies of the TRS government.
The TTDP leader said it was atrocious that Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K T Rama Rao describing them as Anglo-Indians and mercenaries of Andhra leaders.
He also reiterated that they would expose the misdeeds of TRS government. As the vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt, the police rushed to the spot and took Errabelli and other local TDP leaders into custody.
