It is not the much-talked about 24x7 power supply, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, Kaleswaram project or any other scheme that would fetch votes for TRS in the Assembly elections but the tried–and-trusted ‘anti-Andhra’ rhetoric or in other words, the "Telangana sentiment" that might be instrumental in TRS victory in the coming election.
With only four days left for the crucial polling for Assembly elections KCR is learnt to be asking party leaders and cadre to play up 'Telangana sentiment card' as high as possible as none of his 'achievements' in the past four years can guarantee a win at this stage.
Various surveys and intelligence reports point to a 'tough fight' between TRS and Mahakutami with an edge for Mahakutami, sending jitters down the spine of the TRS leadership.
KCR has reportedly asked TRS leaders and cadre to harp on how "Andhra rule' would be back in Telangana if Mahakutami is voted to power as AP CM Chandrababu Naidu will call the shots in the new government.
Close aides of KCR in Telangana employees associations, journalists, intellectuals and others have started a campaign on social media urging Telangana people not to put the pride, self-respect and identity of Telangana at the feet of Andhra rulers on the pretext of dethroning TRS and KCR.
They are trying to convince voters that had Congress fought individually against TRS, they would not have requested voters to support TRS, but since Chandrababu is driving Congress now, there is no way but to beat Mahakutami to save Telangana from the clutches of Andhra rulers.
The intelligence reports indicated that none of the development and welfare schemes of TRS government would ensure victory for TRS at this stage.
This has forced KCR to reignite Telangana sentiment and passion to tide away from the present crisis.
