T-MP Wants Rs 5 Lakh Crore Package

Lok Sabha member G Vivek on Tuesday demanded that along with division of the State,  a compensation of Rs five lakh crore should be granted to the Telangana region, which was put to loss all these years.

Speaking to the media, Vivek alleged that the Seemandhra leaders had diverted the waters allocated to Telangana region, to their regions.

There was no truth in the oft-repeated statements of the Chief Minister and other Seemandhra leaders that there would be water wars if the State was divided, he said adding that river waters sharing agreements had taken place not only in the State, but in several States and countries and the same were implemented without any hitch.

Vivek bemoaned that in the united State, not one project on Krishna river was completed, and the 60 TMC of water (share of Telangana) was illegally diverted to other regions.

He also contended that if the projects being illegally constructed in Rayalaseema region were completed, then the Coastal area would be at a loss.
