The debate on the Andhra Pradesh State Reorganisation Bill-2013, if at all held in the State Assembly in the next few days, would be as interesting as the cricket match between India and Pakistan.
This was the view expressed by Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar who on Sunday strongly advocated that the debate on Telangana bill be held in the State Assembly.
“All Seemandhra MLAs, across party lines, should participate in the debate to explain the consequences of division of Andhra Pradesh. They should present the real picture of Seemandhra region before the people,” he said.
The Congress MP further said that all MLAs should participate in the debate and voting should be made compulsory.
He alleged that some leaders were trying to divide the hearts of people of both the regions.
Vundavalli alleged that a few leaders have presented a rosy picture of life after formation of Telangana before the people.
He said an impression has been given as if each person would 2,000 sq yards of land and one kg of gold once Telangana is formed.
However, he said that the entire State would suffer due to division. He said that no roadmap has been prepared for State's division.
