T-Cong leaders are still alert!

The Telangana Congress leaders seem to have decided not to remain complacent following the Union Cabinet’s approval to the draft Telangana Bill, but to continue lobbying till the bill gets the Parliament approval smoothly.

A 100-member delegation of Telangana Congress Monitoring Group led by Rajya Sabha MP R Anand Bhaskar and PCC General Secretary G Niranjan called on Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday and requested that the bill comes to the Parliament at the earliest.

The delegation thanked Shinde for a favourable decision on Telangana formation.

Anand later told reporters that the delegation would also meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to thank them.

He said despite several obstacles, Sonia Gandhi took a courageous decision of bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.

“The people of Telangana would remain indebted to Sonia Gandhi forever for her move on Telangana,” he said.
