The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party will act as a pressure group on behalf of the people of the State to ensure that the TRS government extends full support to the NDA government and vice-versa.
This was asserted by Telangana BJP unit president G Kishan Reddy. He said the party in the Telangana would as a bridge between the Centre and the State government if there was any issue of confrontation between the two.
“We will act as a pressure group and ensure that the Centre extends full co-operation and fulfils its share of responsibilities in implementing projects meant for the development of the new State", he said.
The T-BJP chief demanded that the Centre take complete take-over of the submergence areas of Polavaram project.
He argued that since the project was in the hands of the Centre, the best formula was for the Centre to administer these villages till the completion of the project. Later, relocation and rehabilitation can be handled, he argued.
