Sulking Kishan Reddy Offers To Quit?

All these years, the BJP has been projecting a picture of unity as far as its public commitment for the cause of Telangana statehood is concerned.

While all other mainstream political parties were hit by the regional divide, the saffron party's USP (Unique Selling Proposition) has been its unity.

However, the situation is changing now. Like other parties, the BJP is also riven by the regional divide.

As a consequence of infighting in the party over the Telangana issue, the state BJP President G Kishan Reddy is said to have offered to quit.

He made the offer out of frustration over the attitude of the party's Seemandhra leaders who are strongly opposed to division of the state.

Though many BJP Seemandhra leaders have migrated to other parties, those who remain loyal to the party have started raising their over the bifurcation issue.

They have pointed out to the party leadership that they need to honour the sentiments of the Seemandhra people instead of blindly supporting the division of the state.

Facing the heat from the Seemandhra leaders, Kishan Reddy, who represents Amberpet Assembly constituency in Hyderabad, has offered to quit the party post.

He made the offer when Seemandhra party leaders told him bluntly that they would go to Delhi and talk to the central leaders about the need tom review the party's stand on Telangana.

It is said that Kishan Reddy also has a running feud with Nagam Janardhan Reddy who had migrated from the Telugu Desam Party.

Kishan Reddy is also believed to be strongly opposed to any electoral tie-up with the Telugu Desam Party.
