The 'cash-for-vote' scandal has become so entertaining that fresh developments would easily beat any popular daily soap on television in terms of TRP ratings.
The latest twist to the episode comes in the form of a statement by AP Irrigation Minister, Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao.
Uma claimed that Stephenson was a relative of Brother Anil Kumar, the brother-in-law of YS Jagan and said that this piece of information was enough to deduce that KCR and Jagan were partners in trying to decimate the TDP.
He also mentioned Jagan’s support to the TRS for the MLC elections as further proof of his statement. Meanwhile AP IT Minister, Palle Raghunath Reddy said that KCR and Jagan were like the ‘Rahu’ and ‘Kethu’ of Telangana and AP.
Reddy said that unless they were removed from the political scene, neither of the states would prosper.
Now that the ball has entered Jagan’s court, it would be interesting to see what his response to the allegations would be. More entertainment ahead! Public welfare? Who gives a damn?
