The election results in four major states – Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, which were declared on Sunday, gave a clear indication that the stage is set for the ouster of Congress party in the country.
This was the opinion expressed by senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu.
Speaking to the media here after jubilant celebrations over victory of party in four States, Venkaiah said elections results clearly indicate that the people were against Congress rule across the country and they were looking forward BJP as an alternative.
Development and good governance of the BJP-ruled States was well accepted in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh States while in Rajasthan people were fed up with the Congress government and they ousted it, he said and admitted that there was some setback for the party in Chhattisgarh.
Stating that there was anti-Congress wave across the country, Venkaiah said the impact of party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was universal which added to party’s campaign.
Though local candidates, combinations and local issues may have some effect, but at national level, BJP would be an alternative and it will win comfortably and Narendra Modi would be India’s Prime Minister.
