![Speeches In AP Assembly Quite Boring!](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
The ongoing budget session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been quite boring, as there have been reports that the TRP ratings of television channels telecasting the proceedings live are learnt to have dropped substantially.
The reason is simple: the speeches of none of the MLAs, including that of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Leader of Opposition Y S Jaganmohan Reddy are lacking punch and substance. There is more noise in the House than a reasonable debate on any issue.
Jagan is trying to be aggressive in attacking the Naidu government, but most of the times, he is seen fumbling and searching for proper words.
Most of his sentences are repetitive as a result of which viewers are feeling bored despite the fact that he has a lot of material to corner the government.
And when the Speaker does not allow him to say the same sentences again and again, he is getting agitated resulting in noisy scenes.
On the other hand, Naidu has been monotonous in his speech without any clarity. He has not been able to put forth his views strongly, except rigidly defending his government’s decisions.
Even on the issue of land dealings in the capital region, Naidu was mostly on the defensive and could not put forth a strong argument. Since he is not a powerful orator, viewers are getting impatient in listening to his speeches.
Compared to AP Assembly, the debates in Telangana Assembly are more interesting, because Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao can attract even the Opposition party members with his powerful speeches with a lot of punch and pun. Many of his cabinet colleagues are also good orators.
