The Congress high command headed by Sonia Gandhi appears to have adopted a divide and rule strategy within the Seemandhra Congress leaders to get a smooth passage for Telangana note.
According to sources, the high command has scripted a game plan to douse the raging fire in the Seemandhra region after Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy’s open defiance in opposing the CWC decision to bifurcate the state which only incensed the mood of the agitating integrationists.
As per the strategy, the central leadership managed to create a split among the Seemandhra state ministers.
Those among them who had all along nurtured a grouse against Kiran Kumar Reddy were encouraged to take cudgels against him by decrying the comments of the Chief Minister.
Once the split among the Seemandhra ministers came to the fore, the central leaders without losing any time decided to move forward quickly in getting ready the cabinet note, sources said.
