So, Naidu Deserted Telangana Completely?

So, Naidu Deserted Telangana Completely?

With the reports that Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has decided to take his son Lokesh Naidu into the cabinet, the party seems to have more or less decided to shut the shop in Telangana.

Hitherto, Lokesh used to take care of the party affairs in Telangana, at least for nominal sake, since he was spending most of the time in Hyderabad.

Only handful of leaders like A Revanth Reddy, L Ramana and Mothkupalli Narsimhulu used to come to the NTR Trust Bhavan once in a while.

After the big debacle for the TDP in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections and other Assembly by-elections, Lokesh, too, has stopped taking serious interest in the Telangana TDP affairs.

Now, there are reports that Naidu has asked Lokesh to focus on the party affairs in Andhra Pradesh and may take him into the cabinet.

It clearly shows Naidu has lost interest in Telangana as he has realised that his party has no stakes here. And if at all he tries to get back into Telangana politics, he knows KCR will take out the cash-for-vote weapon. So, it is better to allow the party to die its own death.

However, the party will remain for nominal sake since Naidu wants the TDP to grow into a national party in the coming days.
