![Snap Polls In Telangana Soon After Delimitation?](https://www.greatandhra.com/newphotos9/ga_politics1611037702.jpeg)
It is virtually impossible for anybody to guess what is going on in the mind of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.
He is known for taking surprise decisions that would shock not only the Opposition, but also his own party leaders.
According to a speculation going on in the TRS circles, KCR is contemplating going to mid-term elections to the State Assembly sometime in 2017, soon after the process of delimitation of the Assembly constituencies is completed by the Centre later this year.
If the process is over, the number of Assembly seats in the Telangana Assembly will go up from 119 to 153.
In the meantime, KCR’s entire focus is on weakening the Opposition parties before they wake up to generate an anti-establishment atmosphere in the State.
He has already decimated the Telugu Desam Party more or less completely by luring over a dozen MLAs.
Now, there are hardly anybody left in the TDP, which is facing a total bankruptcy of leadership. Now, he has focused attention on weakening the Congress party by luring as many MLAs as possible into the TRS – the latest one being Chittem Ram Mohan Reddy of Makthal in Mahbubnagar district. There is virtually no place for YSR Congress party.
So, once all the parties become psychologically down and out, KCR will announce dissolution of the Assembly and go in for mid-term elections, so that the TRS wins not less than 100-120 seats out of 153 Assembly seats. The Opposition parties will have to remain silent for the next five years!
