On the occasion of YSR Congress plenary, Sharmila has once again been accorded due respect.
Prior to the plenary at Idupulapaya in Cudappah district, YS Jagan, his mother Vijayamma and his sister Sharmila paid a floral tribute to YSR at his Samadhi. Later, they garlanded YSR’s statue.
When Jagan was in jail, both Vijayamma and Sharmila took up executive roles and led the party. However, after Jagan came out of jail, Sharmila was relegated to the background.
This is the first time that Sharmila is taking part in the plenary. She was not present at the plenary when the party was initiated.
So, it is rather interesting to see all the three members of the family being present at the plenary this time.
At a time when rumours are rife that Sharmila would be contesting from the Vizag Lok Sabha seat during the forthcoming elections, this development is being viewed with interest.
