Seema Youth Warn Against Rayala Telangana

The Centre’s proposal to form Rayala Telangana State out of Andhra Pradesh bifurcation by merging Kurnool and Anantapur with Telangana region has evoked sharp resistance from not only the Telangana leaders, but also a section of Rayalaseema leaders.

Rayalaseema Youth Force on Tuesday vehemently condemned the Centre’s proposal to vertically split Rayalaseema region and merge Anantapur and Kurnool districts with the new Telangana State.

RYF convener Maddipatla Suryaprakash said the Rayalaseema region was like a heart to the united Andhra Pradesh and the Centre’s plan to divide Rayalaseema region without knowing the pulse of the people was improper and atrocious.

He also charged the Congress high command with conspiring to turn the Rayalaseema into another Thar desert in the country.

Taking serious exception to the alleged “insulting” remarks of senior Telangana Congress leader and MP V Hanumantha Rao, the RYF leader asked the MP not to forget that heroic people of Rayalaseema were the first to bare their chests to the erstwhile British Army and taught civilization to the society.

“You worship Lord Venkateshwara in Tirupati and get rid of bad phase of Saturn by performing pujas at Srikalahasti and you also want to visit Kadapa dargah before launching new projects, but you don’t want us to set our foot in Hyderabad. What kind of justice is this?”, he asked.
